Planning your Visit
ARE CHILDREN OR ANIMALS ALLOWED AT THE WINERY?
As a family owned and operated winery, we're happy to welcome our Wine Club members' children and dogs. Please note that children and dogs must be supervised at all times, and that certain areas including our tastings bars are restricted to adults aged 21 and older.
At this time, we cannot accomodate children and dogs who are not accompanied by a Wine Club member parent. We also do not have the capacity to accomodate children or dogs if it is raining.
CAN I BRING A GROUP TO TASTE?
We would love it if you did! Please let our staff know in advance if your party exceeds 7 people, so that we can tailor a unique tasting experience for you and your guests. Give our office a call 9 am - 3 pm at 408.842.9197 so we can reserve you a table and be best equipped for when you and your guests arrive.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED FOR TASTING & PURCHASES?
We accept Visa, American Express, Chase, and Discover, as well as cash and checks.
CAN I GET A RIDE TO THE WINERY WITH UBER OR LYFT?
While Uber and Lyft do drive out to the winery, we strongly recommend checking ahead of time to make sure a car is in the area. For wine tasting along the Santa Clara Valley Wine Trail, California Passport Tours offers customized day tours that include Martin Ranch Winery.
DO YOU SERVE FOOD AT THE WINERY?
Tasting our award-winning wines can certainly make you work up an appetite! We're happy to have partnered with Chef Lou and Cellar Door Catering to bring you a variety of small plates perfect for pairing with your tasting flight. We also offer a wide variety of light snacks for you to enjoy including locally baked biscotti, crackers and dips, and the insanely delicious Paso Almonds brittle. Our guests are more than welcome to bring their own picnic for heartier fare and relax in the sun or shade of our beautiful grounds. Kindly refrain from bringing outside alcohol, including previously purchased Martin Ranch Winery wines to our winery.
CAN I TASTE AT THE WINERY OUTSIDE OF YOUR OPEN WEEKENDS?
Martin Ranch Winery offers Private Tastings by appointment only. Send us an email with your name, number of people in your party, the date and time you would like to visit, as well as your preferred method of contact. Availability is limited, so we recommend planning at least 2 weeks in advance so that we can be sure to accommodate your needs
CAN I RESERVE THE WINERY FOR A PRIVATE EVENT?
We have a lovely, relaxed environment that people enjoy for their private functions. For information on making Martin Ranch Winery the home of your next event, contact Michele Swensen in Hospitality.
WHY ARE YOU ONLY OPEN FOR WINE TASTING TWICE A MONTH?
Our tasting schedule permits our staff to enjoy doing what they love with those they love most on weekends, too. It also allows us to open our doors to members during our many exclusive wine club events when the winery is closed to the public.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN THE MARTIN RANCH WINE CLUB?
There is not a membership fee to join our Wine Club. Wine Club Members receive shipments of wines selected by our winemakers and enjoy extensive benefits. DO MY WINE CLUB MEMBER DISCOUNTS ALSO APPLY TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY?
There are many benefits that come with your membership including complimentary tastings for you and up to four guests. During your visit, your guests will enjoy Wine Club Member exclusive tastings at our Wine Club Bar, and receive our 10% Friends and Family Discount on all of their purchases during their tasting

HOW CAN I ORDER WINE?
Shop our wines at any time, from the comfort of your own home at our online Wine Shop. If you’d rather speak to one of our knowledgeable staff members before placing an order, give our office a call M-F from 9 am - 3 pm PST at 408.842.9197. We’ll be happy to assist you with your purchase and answer any questions you may have about our extensive wine list. If you call after hours, please leave us a detailed message so we can promptly return your call on the following business day.
CAN I BUY WINE AT THE WINERY AND HAVE IT SHIPPED?
Absolutely! We work with UPS to ensure prompt, professional, and trackable shipping and handling. Please keep in mind that all packages must be signed for by an adult who is at least 21 years of age. Not sure if someone will be home? Try shipping to a business address or a UPS store near you. Due to legal restrictions, we can only ship to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IA, ID, LA, MO, NV, NH, NY, NC, OH, OR, VA, SC, TN, TX, WA.
HOW ARE SHIPPING RATES DETERMINED?
Shipping rates vary depending upon the amount of wine being sent and the destination. Wine Club Members always enjoy a flat rate of just $15 to ship up to 12 bottles of wine anywhere we ship to within the U.S.
WHAT IF NO ONE IS HOME FOR THE DELIVERY?
UPS requires that wine shipments be received and signed for by an adult 21 years of age or older. To assist with determining delivery, you will receive a UPS tracking number with an estimated date of delivery. If no one is home to sign for the delivery, the driver will make 2 additional attempts. After 3 attempted deliveries, the wine will be shipped back to the winery, and you will be charged an additional shipping fee for re-delivery. For this reason, we strongly encourage shipping to a business address or a UPS Store or UPS Care Center. Check this list to find a UPS Store in your neighborhood.
CAN I PICK UP MY WINE TO SAVE ON SHIPPING CHARGES?
Yes! Our office is located above our barrel room, and is open for purchases and pick-ups M-F from 9 am - 3 pm. Curious if you picked up your latest Wine Club shipment? Give us a call and we’ll be happy to look up your order and get it ready for you.
DO YOU DELIVER LOCALLY?
We're grateful to have the support of our local community. At this time, because of the overwhelming number of local members, it is not logistically possible for us to make deliveries. However, our Wine Club Members always enjoy $15 flat shipping for up to one case of wine.
WHERE ELSE CAN I FIND YOUR WINES?
You’ll find our wines at a variety of Bay Area stores including BevMo!, Whole Foods, local restaurants and grocers, and wine bars. In addition, we frequently pour our award-winning wines at numerous community events including the Gilroy Garlic Festival, Morgan Hill Wine Walk, Capitola Art and Wine Festival, and more.
